Why are kids the craziest when it’s bedtime?

I have no idea. But Im freaking tired. Seriously. “Ok, get ready for bed please!” and all hell breaks loose. Why!!!!!???????

Then it’s

“Im hungry”

“Im thirsty”

“Just let me finish this round”

“I can’t find my pyjamas”

They can complain all day how tired they are and how sore their legs are after dance, and hockey or playing outside and they just want to relax. I think kids are hypnotized to go into energy mode with the phrase “time to get ready for bed”.

It’s like they can tell that adults want adult time and alone time and they then conspire. Trying to take over the adult population. To keep us awake as long as possible and to stay awake as long as possible. I just want to watch some YouTube that isn’t about ABC’s and colours. Or a kid asking to use my phone to play Among Us.

I’ve done some research and learned that children get hyperactive when they are tired by making more cortisol and adrenaline to stay awake. Why can’t that happen for adults who get sluggish. That’s totally not fair. It’s 8:00pm and I know I need to get up and get them going and Im just so exhausted and feel so lazy. Time passes and it’s getting worse and Im getting more tired. The older ones can brush their own teeth but I have to do the 2 year old. As soon as I mention it he runs and its like chasing a mouse around the house. I hate it so much. LIKE HATE IT. I hate the whole fight so much.

And then….

“I don’t want to get up”

“I don’t want to go to school”

Anyways,

Here’s my fist YouTube video to countdown for Christmas!!
